Assorted Friends and Loved Ones

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw.
"I just wanted to be sure of you."

These Are Some Real Life People Donaco Is Sure Of...

In Alphabetical Order So There's No Fighting.

Bradley

Here we have someone whom I know originally through other people. After recognizing what a quality individual Bradley is, I tricked him into becoming my friend as well. Ha HA! And it worked!

The two of us took a long drive in May/June of 2000 and you can read Donaco's version of our week-long trip across the country. One wonders if Brad remembers things differently.... Hmm. He did tell people, after we had reached our destination, that he was only annoyed with me for a total of about ten minutes. Not bad, eh.

And that's why we like him. And you should, too.

Mr. Brian Donahue

What is it with Mr. Brian Donahue and his huge passion for Dr. Laura? It has become unseemly.

All right. Donaco is lying. It was he who used to like Dr. Laura. There. Are you satisfied now, Brian? This is not the best picture of B but Donaco likes it because it shows Brian in his band.

DeannaYou know how when you have a client and you don't really acknowledge them as being human? They kind of just talk at you and tell you what they're looking for and how much money they can spend and blah blah blah for an hour while you think about lunch. They're sort of this annoying necessity of life.

Well, Deanna is nothing like that. First of all, she talks about herself in the third person (and you knowDonaco is all about that). If you happen to be my former employer at I-Site, I will admit now that it was Deanna I was always yakking with on the phone as we shared stories about the various loonies in our offices.

Ms YaYaDenise is known to many mortals as MysticYaYa.

She and Donaco will split the lottery with each other one day and this will be done without any silly arguments over which of them has spent more money on lotto tickets.

Ms YaYa is pictured here with her very first nephew, Carl Walters.

Macsmiths

Another person who is good to meet is Doug.
Donaco feels strongly that you should go visit his Macsmiths page. But be forewarned. Doug is much more cantakerous and ridiculous than he would lead you to believe. His many talents, though, include graphic design and he will be happy to show you some of his work.

Ginger

Ginger gets a big ass picture on this page because she was lucky enough to have her arms spread wide in this favorite photo.

She lives here in L.A. now but we knew each other back in NYC in 1990 when we did theater. For a while she and Donaco were roommates. And then she got fed up with our third roommate, Ken, who never paid the bills with the money we gave him. We came home to no electricity or no telephone more times than I can remember. One thing Ken did with the money, we learned, was go on a skiiing trip.

So at least something good came out of it.

Anyway, that's all behind us now and Ginger is in L.A. as of this summer and she wants to produce movies. So let's go!

Jennifer There was a time when Jennifer used to work quite a bit as a stage manager off Broadway. Nowadays she lives in Cooperstown and is studying to become a veterinarian.

She can tell you some very interesting stories about how Newfoundland dogs breed. And if you need to know, she'll tell you how to rump a sheep!

Jim and KevinJim, you evildoers should know, is really a Superman. He can teach; he can write; he can do performance art; he can leap tall buildings in a single bound.

IsDonaco giving away too much by adding Kevin's picture along with Jim's? We like Kevin because when Jim was too busy becoming a doctor, Kevin was free to go see the Sigfried and Roy Imax movie. And who could miss that?

Ray and JoAnn

This is Ray and JoAnn doing what they do best, traveling. JoAnn is a freelance writer and Ray is a Fine Human Being in his own right, who taught Donaco the basics of HTML.

Why not pop over to his place, i-site for a quick peek at a succesful company doing Web Page Design!

Or you visit JoAnn and read some of her freelance writing about museums, plays, hotels, high teas, concerts, mansions, precious stones, and writing tips.

John

This is interesting.... John is a Gemologist.

He will appraise your rocks, baby, and you know he's honest because the seedier elements don't like it when he works in town. It's true.

If I could remember where he put his new website, I'd link to it so you could make an appointment and watch him wear that little magnifying glass in his eye.

Kari and Mark, have settled in nicely in Minnedangsota of all places. And look! They're raising a family.

Check out Son #1, Trent, holding Son #2, Bradey.

Kathleen, Anthony and BenjaminKathleen and Anthony have an unusual account of the view of the French countryside. Ask them what France is like in a car... in the middle of a bicycle race. That will get them started on an evening's worth of amusing stories and the first thing you know, it'll be midnight, you'll be drunk, you'll have smoked one of Anthony's cigars and then they'll drive you home.

And be sure to say hello to Benjamin who was born in 1997. He is their first human baby.

KimThis is a picture of Kim posing with an airplane that she swears she will not ride in. But she's not all bad.

Kim has been known to create a 15 foot cardboard boat in her back yard and throw a party inside of it where you have to board the thing via a plank.

Is that the sign of a quality person or what?

Mark

This is long time pal, Mark, with a radioactive Ingrid.

He lives in Florida, of all places, and has his pilot's license and his own plane now. So he spends more time than you or I up in the air thinking that he should have peed before he left the house.

He is the person on this page thatDonaco has known the longest.

Michele and Greg are two of the best people in the whole world. And not just because they bought themselves a large pilsner glass and had the word "Donaco" etched in it.

Their picture is so big, it gets a page unto itself!

Ask them what France is like on a bicycle... in the rain....

Young Liam

This young man is my godson, Liam. He doesn't have his own email address yet but you mustn't hold that against him. It's probably his parents' fault.

Be that as it may, these people are what I miss most about living in New York.

MindyWhen New Age philosophers tell us that all human beings are connected, what they are trying to say is that all humans beings either know Mindy or know someone who knows Mindy. Or know someone who was a college roommate of Mindy's.

It's really quite profound.

Mindy is also a godparent of the adorable child you see directly above.

Bob Robert is a composer. But more than that, he's fun to stay up late at night with and yak about life's mysteries. He knows some of the answers!

He has partied with Janis Joplin. Well, not lately. But it's still kinda cool.

Robin

Now, this gal, Robin, is another great person Donaco knew from NYC. We used to work together at Theater Development Fund.

She is one of Donaco's favorite actresses.

Scott Scott, world famous as Bewitched Critic!
Go read his views on Elizabeth Montgomery's television legacy.

Aside from this, Scott is a regular fixture of the San Diego theatrical community. He will act, he will sing, he will choreograph your show for you.
