We spent the first three days of the honeymoon in Athens. It's always interesting to turn a corner and suddenly find yourself face-to-face with structures that date back centuries before Christ. Just watch out for those taxi drivers and their funky meter tricks.

Someday, someone will explain to us why you can take pictures of the objects (without a flash, of course), but not pictures of the objects with people in them. In any event, the one on the left is a bear or lion. The one on the right is a horse, which is included because Ed liked the lighting. |

These are columns in the Temple of Hephastus in the Ancient Agora. The Ancient Agora is located below the Acropolis, and the Temple of Hephastus (also known as the temple of Theseus because of the motif of much of the artwork) is one of the oldest and best preserved temples in Greece. |
