Vault 84 Links
Well, what home page would be complete without the obligatory List O'
Links?
General Fallout Links
WARNING: Almost all of the fan web sites contain spoilers to the
game. If you're one to discover everything by yourself, then surf with
care!
- As if you couldn't find it littered around my pages already, these
are links to Interplay, MacPlay, and the main Fallout page. The
official page has spoilers in the Strategy
section.
- Azrael's
Fallout Shrine: Has good and fairly complete stats on weapons,
armor, and toys. No spoilers.
-
Fallout: A Post-Nuclear RPG From Hell: I think they're referring to
the game part, there, not that the game itself is "from hell" =8^).
Best for its strategy and walkthrough sections. MAJOR SPOILERS
- The
Wasteland Oasis: Another very complete Fallout page. Has decent
item lists and very thorough quest descriptions. MAJOR SPOILERS
- The JuzKeWL
Fallout Website: It's, well, just cool. SPOILERS
- Breaker's
Fallout Shack: This site has a pretty complete list of people and
what they're good for. Also has the standard list of stats, skills,
weapons, quests, etc. SPOILERS
- The Ultimate Games
Network Fallout Site: Just about what it claims to be. A very
complete strategy guide, sample characters, etc.
- Vault-Tec HQ: A
decent walkthrough of the game. MAJOR SPOILERS.
- San
Andrea's Vault: Definitely one of the cleverest web sites out there.
A humorous site that contains a walkthrough in the form of a diary and
other fun pages like Post-Nuclear recipies and a Dogmeat tribute page.
SPOILERS
- The Unofficial
Fallout FAQ: Complete weapon/armor statistics and about as
comprehensive a list of quests and solutions as you're likely to find.
MAJOR SPOILERS
Character Editors
At this time, there are NO Macintosh Fallout character editors available
to the general public.
CH Khor has written a DOS-based Fallout character editor called FALCHE.
You can e-mail him by clicking here.
Mac-specific Fallout Links
Sequel Links
- Here's a link to an article on
CNET's Gamecenter, which was the first news site to officially break
the news that Fallout 2 is
Underway!!
- This is a link to Inside Mac
Games Magazine's news item on the status of the sequel
for the Mac. Includes lots of comments from Tim Hume.
Note: this link goes to the IMG current news page.
At the moment, IMG doesn't seem to have January news items archived.
- A new Fallout 2
for Macintosh advocacy web site has sprung up. It neatly summarizes
all the ways you can help bring Fallout 2 to the Mac. Check it
out!
Mac Game Links
- The Macintosh Gamer's Ledge:
News, info, and reviews.
- Inside Mac Games Magazine:
The only Mac publication dedicated purely to games.
- MacGaming.com: Formerly
Tikkabik's Mac Games Page. More news, info, and reviews.
- Ambrosia Software: The best
Mac shareware games around. And they don't do Windows. Coming soon: Cythera, Ambrosia's first RPG.
- Ultra-United Games,
makers of Battle-Girl (which is my other running addiction at the
moment).
- Bungie Software, makers of the
Marathon series of games and, more recently, the wargame Myth. Anybody else out there
want them to get started on the sequel to "Minotaur?" =8^)
- The MacOS Entertainment
Software Alliance, dedicated to making the Mac game world a Nicer
Place to Be.
