Vault 84: The Stuff Page

(or, The Complete Cheapskate's Guide to the Wasteland)

This section is supposed to be a list of stuff you can find for cheap or for free scattered throughout the game. In some cases, the cost comes in the bullets it took you to blow someone away. Entries marked (DYN) include some of the humorous or unusual things you can find in the wasteland.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Please note that this is about as far as I've gotten in the game. If there's something I've missed in a location listed as complete, please let me know. If you want to note something nifty in a site I haven't been to yet, DON'T tell me 'till you see a section for it here, or mark your e-mail with big "SPOILER" warnings. Thanks!

Vault 13

This section is complete, as far as I know.

Vault 13 caves

Vault 13 First Floor

If you face north walking in from the main vault door, there's a storage locker on your right which contains 2 flares.

Vault 13 Second Floor (Living Quarters)

People in the Vault apparently don't believe much in carrying stuff. Nothing here worth mentioning that I've found.

Cool! This gem was pulled from Interplay's Fallout Message Board:

I'm playing a dumb (IN=1) character. It's been tough so far, and
I thought that I would never get past Harry. Here's how the conversation
went:

H: Hey, you not look like ghoul. How come?
M: Uh?
H: Huh?
M: Huh?
H: Whuh?
M: Mom?

And then he let me go!

The Brotherhood of Steel

You can't get into many of the rooms here without resorting to illicit measures. This is only a partial list of items to be found in the Brotherhood.

Cathedral

Note: All the mutants/Nightkin in this area carry miniguns and rocket launchers (except the one guarding the basement -- he has a gatling laser). This fact, combined with the narrow passages and small rooms on the upper levels, can make combat a very messy affair.

Level 1

Level 2

My notes say there's nothing worthwhile on level 2. I may very well have just wimped out and not killed anything here =8^).
