The 1998 CR-V EX found itself adorned with body-colored mirror backs and handles. Probably the results of Honda marketing types trying to develop product differentiation between the LX and EX. Personally I prefer the black mirror casings and handles, but it didn't stop me from buying a '98 EX. I really wanted a 5-speed with ABS.
