Here's a picture of the parts to the kit and the tools needed.

INSTALLATION

Before you begin:

— Be extremely careful not to damage the door panels and other finished surfaces of the body.

— In these instructions, the illustrations show the left (driver's side) tweeter being installed. The same procedure applies to installing the right tweeter.

1. Lower both front windows.

2. Write down the frequencies for the preset buttons on the radio.

3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

4. Remove the self-tapping screw fastening the inner handle cover, and move the cover forward.

5. While pulling out on the inner handle, remove the handle cover from the panel, and disconnect the rod and connector.

*tip* Remove the rod first so you can flip the inner handle cover over to reach the connector's release tab, which is on the backside.

6. Release the four retaining pawls, and remove the speaker grille. Remove the three self-tapping screws, unplug the connector, and remove the speaker.

*tip* There is a slot in the door panel at the bottom of the speaker grille. Start there to remove the grille.

7. Remove the mirror mount cover from the front door.

*tip* The cover is really on tight and takes quite a bit of pressure to remove. I broke one of the plastic posts off while removing one of the covers. Also, for those of you wondering how much space is back there for third-party kits—looks like about 1/4" is all.
