8. Remove the one clip and the six self-tapping screws that fasten the door panel to the door.

*tip* Don't miss the screw at the top of the speaker hole.

9. Pull away the bottom of the door panel to release the three panel clips.

10. Remove the door panel by pulling it upward.

11. Remove the two screws fastening the control unit. Unplug the connector, and remove the control unit.

*tip* The release tab is on the frontside of the connector.

12. Carefully turn up the plastic cover.

*tip* The adhesive is very gooey. I wasn't able to peel it off of either the door or the plastic, so I just cut the adhesive apart with a small knife. Once it was peeled back, I used some duct tape to secure the edges.

13. Wrap one cushion tape around the 2-pin connector of the tweeter harness.

14. Secure the 2-pin connector of the tweeter harness to the vehicle wire harness with one wire tie in the area shown.

15. Route the tweeter harness through the door and out through the speaker hole. Secure the harness to the vehicle wire harness with one wire tie in the area shown.
