SEPULTURA means "GRAVE" in Portuguese. They were cool. And probably, they are cool right now. They come from Brazil, and their albums, ROOTS and AGAINST, feature their roots. You can listen to drum sounds which shake your wild nature.

• Max Cavarela (Vo & rhythm guitar) decided to leave SEPULTURA due to some conflict between other members and him. He's already started a new band with his fellows.

• SEPULTURA got a new vocalist officially on June 1998 and is making a new album. They said it would emphasize much more on "soul" beat" than the previous album. Look forward to it!!
• I saw SEPULTURA's show at House of Blues in New Orleans in the late 1998. The new vocalist, Derrick, was so cool that the audience seemed to accept his role as a leading front man. His voice was powerful and energetic, and I didn't have any complaints about him. He was simply great!! SEPULTURA is SEPULTURA.
