NEW ORLEANS,
LOUISIANA, U.S.A.

* I've moved out of New Orleans in the fall of 2000, so this page won't be updated any more. Love New Orleans forever!

This Month (June 2000)
Summer has arrived, and temperature gets hotter.   We have less rainfall than usual.  You will find wearing a tank top or a T-shirt and shorts is most comfortable these days.  Daytime temperature in fine day usually reaches mid-90s degrees Fehrenheit, and the sun blazes down on you.   However, it rains unpredictably this time of the year, so checking New Orleans's weather before you come here is always a good idea.
Jazzland (its Web site is still under construction) has opened on May 20, 2000. It's New Orleans theme park which is located in eastern New Orleans, about 12 miles from downtown, and you'll enjoy both fun rides and great New Orleans food.

This Week (written: Mon, Jun 5, 2000)
It gets hotter. Sunshine is very strong in the daytime, so don't forget a pair of sunglasses and a sun block when going for a walk.
The National D-Day Museum will be opened on June 6, 2000. New Orleanian Andrew Higgins designed the innovative personnel transport boats used for Normandy invasion. On that day, a celebration parade will be held around the downtown, and celebrities such as the Secretary of Defense William Cohen, former President Jimmy Carter, newsanchor Tom Brokaw, movie director Stephen Spielberg, actor Tom Hanks will attend the celebration.
